I wasn’t sure how to write about my summer holidays, or if to write at all. Currently, I’m writing my daily journal in an actual physical notebook, which is an experience in itself and an exercise in attempting to turn my handwriting into something beautiful rather than something a child has scribbled.
For now, I will keep posting the odd selection of photos and perhaps go into more detail when I’m back home and not typing on a phone!
These are from the last few days around Torridon. The walk up and around the Horns of Beinn Alligin was perhaps the most enjoyable I have ever done, with exceptional views and a fun scrambling section.

I’ve just spent a couple of days in Glasgow, exploring the city and sleeping in a proper bed for several nights. Its my first time on the city, and impressions are good. Tomorrow morning I head to Milngavie to start my walk along the West Highland Way. This is just under 100 miles which I expect to complete in around 5 days. It will be my first extended bit of solo backpacking and I’m really looking forward to it.
