With my workplace being one of the UK’s top Pinarello dealers it was only a matter of time before I swang my leg over one of these Tour De France winning megabikes, and so I’ve kindly been loaned this incredible Dogma F to ride and race on for the year.
I didn’t used to be a huge Pinarello fan. The ‘Bradley Wiggins era’ Dogma was a bit ugly, with its wavey fork and unconventional shape, but like a fine wine they have matured, and in the 2024 world of ‘cookie cutter’ aero bikes which all look almost identical, the Dogma F has a distinctive silhouette that sets it apart from its contemporaries, and in my opinion is very pleasing on the eye. They’re also beautifully made, in a way that you come to appreciate when building bikes like these and looking at them from the inside.

This black and silver ‘Plutonium Flash’ colourway is one of my favourites and happened to be exactly my size. I’ve built it up with Shimano Ultegra Di2, My long serving Enve 3.4 Disc wheelset, and am keeping it real with a set of alloy bars and my preferred Selle Italia SLR saddle.
In typical fashion, the day I built it summoned a few days of heavy rain, and I’ve since gone and busted my knee during a foolish attempt to become some sort of runner, but I’m already dreaming of razzing along the lanes in the sunshine and getting stuck into some Castle Combe circuit races later in the year.
